EMERGE Contemporary Art will celebrate fifteen years of successful art programming, including mentorships, professional development workshops for music and art careers, public art exhibitions, music art lectures, music, performance, and other art/educational opportunities.
The event is being held at the ICA Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, MA. The space at the ICA will be transformed into an elevated art experience. Over 200 guests will immerse themselves in visual, performing, fashion, culinary, and musical works to celebrate our thriving art community’s contributions to creativity, beauty, and ingenuity. Mixologists will be creating craft cocktails, served with hot Hors d’oeuvres and creative passed appetizer plates.
Emerging artists and musicians will be showcased at the event which will give these emerging Boston artists an incredible platform to launch their careers. Student artists from SMFA Tufts are curating the Emerge Art Exhibit featuring new artists from the community. The art event will also include a fashion show featuring upcoming Boston fashion designer “Yaz” Gregory Duibuisson and his clothing brand Urban Pigeons on the runway in the ICA’s Barbra Lee Theater. Musicians/Students from the Berkeley School of Music will be performing on two stages.
Emerge Contemporary Art has partnered with Gibson Guitars and is auctioning custom Les Paul guitars. Bid on a Les Paul Gibson Guitar with custom design graphics, and you'll benefit Emerge Contemporary Art, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The guitars are Les Paul models that were manufactured at Gibson Custom in Nashville, TN, and highlight the artwork of artist Holland Tredwell, of the Warhol Factory. The one-of-a-kind guitars will be auctioned in June with proceeds benefiting Emerge Contemporary Art, a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit for the arts.
“The collaboration with Gibson is a natural for Emerge,” said Director of Music, John Graham. “Art and music go hand and hand – and it’s a great way to highlight our event, which supports emerging artists and musicians. The Emerge Event introduces emerging artists to the Boston arts scene; their contributions of creativity, beauty, and ingenuity will increase Boston's vibrant culture."
The funds will provide sustenance to our signature art and music career mentorship program, new exhibitions and performances which highlight the work of emerging artists, and an extensive schedule of enlightening educational public programs serving our local community and beyond.
